Mile High Dinner

This week I travelled to Denver, unfortunately I was not able to get to downtown or Boulder to try one of the several Top Chef restaurants. I did though have an opportunity to go to Shanahan's Steakhouse www.shanahansteakhouse.com . Shanahan's is out in Denver Tech Center and is on par with Capital Grill and Mortons. I did not get to go into the main dining room because it was full at the time so had dinner is the very large and open Bar area. The one thing I like about Shanahan's Bar was that it was not the typical stuffy steakhouse environment. It was light open and modern. Enough with the ambiance, I had a veal chop and a salad they cooked it to my request perfectly, it was well seasoned and not slathered in butter. The service was good and the bill was what I would have suspected $60 per person without liquor. Overall it was a good experience.
