Down in New York's Tribecca district
Marc Forgione's restaurant resides. Tribecca seems to be a family area while we were walking around it was bustling with people walking their dog's strolling with their children and getting their chores done. Marc Forgione's restaurant is a rustic bistro, once inside you get this warm feeling like you are in a lodge with real candles glowing, books and Nick knack's on the shelves. We were promptly seated in one of the several dining areas and the menu provided a choice for the tasting menu or ala carte. We started off with the Morel Agnolotti with chive blossoms, beuere blanc and the ramp leaves, it was pretty and tasty but nothing off the charts, our main dishes were the Halibut with artichoke, golden raisins, hazelnut sauce. I had the English Cut Lamb Chop with sun dried tomatoes, spring onion and a chickpea fries (Creative and Tasty). Both dishes were great tasting and prepared perfectly. I especially liked the lamb because of the sun dried tomato and the chickpea fries (see the Pic).
Overall the service and the ambiance was great. we really enjoyed our server Jamie who was from Ireland. This is a definite winner.
