Originally on my Birthday we had tried to get into
Eleven Madison Park but it has a long waiting list and very difficult to get into 3 days in advance. Besides when I researched the restaurant, not only was the menu hard to understand but it is very expensive. So we went to it's new little brother
Nomad Restaurant at the New Nomad Hotel. The menu is under the supervision of Daniel Humm who created Eleven Madison Park which has 3 Michelin stars so we were pretty excited about our choice. The Nomad Hotel is only 6 months old and has a lot of Mid Century Elegance and Charm.

After a drink at their bar we were seated in the Fireplace Room which was great because it was a wet and cool evening. The menu is very simple I spent some time talking to our server and came up with a good combination of food. The Crudite was a pedestrian starter but as you can see quite colorful and fresh, lets call it a palette cleanser. We followed that with a Tagliatelle with King Crab , Meyer Lemon and Black Pepper. This was a great delicate dish I still remember the Meyer Lemon on my tongue, the sauce was a very light cream sauce and the crab was fresh out of the shell.

Our entree was Nomad's special plate which is a Whole Chicken that has Foie Gras and Black Truffle injected between the skin and the meat. They bring the whole Chicken out for you to see it before it is served, it reminded us of the Duck we had on our 30th Anniversary in Paris. Let's talk about this dish it is nothing short of the best chicken I have every had , it is set on a bed of Lentils that are steeped in Apple Cider Vinegar. As a bonus we did have a great desert called Milk and Honey which was Ice Cream with a Toffee Brittle Shortbread
Here is what I think the ambiance is great, the service is great the food was delicious and this is well worth going back to. This is a future 1 or 2 Michelin Star restaurant that you can get a great meal at a great value.
