Aspen-- Down to Business---Ellina Restaurant

Or first Dinner was at Ellina Restaurant http://www.ellinarestaurant.com/ It was suggested by our Concierge Andre at the Sky Hotel. This restaurant is right down on the Hyman Street Mall, it has three dining areas on right on the mall, just inside of the door and the more spacious down stairs area. We sat downstairs where it was less crowded. The downstairs Dining area and Bar are very light despite there being no windows the stone walls have simple contemporary art pieces. the great thing is that you do not feel that you are in a crowded area. Our waiter Craig was great he provided us an overview of their dishes and was very attentive. Ellina's featured dish is their Braised Artichoke Heart Bruschetta which has a Poached Egg topped with a Creamy Parmigiana Sauce and Shaved Black Truffle it tastes as good as it sounds. I had the Tomato Soup which was pretty good. Our Entrees were the Halibut and Roasted Chicken. I do not order Chicken very often but I am glad I did, the Demi Glace made the dish. My Wife's Halibut was cooked perfectly and served with Sweet Corn Polenta. Overall it was a great pick for dinner.
